I went to High School with these guys, So To Speak.  Although I never heard any of their work, bassist Wesley Whaley asked me to come out to one of their shows in the Old City at Southbound Bar & Grill.  Their charisma on stage blew me away, and I made sure to leave with nothing less than their new self-titled album, So To Speak.  Check them out @ http://www.myspace.com/sotospeakband

Sha-BLaow!  The new Knoxville Museum of Art is made home inside this aw-inspiring new piece of architecture right beside World’s Fair Park.  While walking by, I noticed their banners outside reading “Open your eyes, Open your mind”.  I found this to be a great symbol of Knoxville’s new progress and a clear depiction that this city is being made better by the art in which it inspires and cultivates.

I’ve lived here in Knoxville for about 9 years now and this was the first time that I actually visited World’s Fair Park.  Being that it was about 70 degrees and sunny I took a seat on the benches right beside this fountain and chiiiiiiilled.  Hakuna Matada at its finest.

While kickin’ it on the sand in South Beach I saw some guy wading through the water  with his camera in hand taking photos of the water.  I thought to myself….. HEY, great idea!  So I grabbed mine and BOOM, this baby was born.  P.S.  I love Miami.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty tipsy when I decided to lie down on the shore and take this photo.  This splash came right for my lens and I almost screwed up a pretty pricey camera.  But hey, the shot came out great, and like I always say… I take better pics when I’m drunk.

The best photos are the ones that speak for themselves…  and I think this one is saying “This is a beautiful sunset over one hell of a beautiful city with a very free bird flying straight through the shot”…. or something like that.  Regardless of what it’s saying, I like to think of myself as the bird in this photo, flying off into the sunset with no worries and nothing holding him back.  Lead your own life and live out your dreams, that’s what I’M saying.

After working Red Bull Soapbox in Atlanta I found myself in a hotel room surrounded by great people ready to have a great night.  When the curtains closed and the day was done, the night was just beginning

A beautiful, youthful, and  fairly progressive city, I gotta say, Atlanta is in my top 10 places to live upon graduation.  The amazing people that I know there make it even more worthwhile, adding to its southern charm and big city opportunity.
